Ambassador in Beirut visits Patriarch al-Rai to check on his health after surgery- SANA

Beirut, SANA – Syria’s Ambassador in Beirut Ali Abdul-Kareem visited Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros al-Rai at al-Maounat Hospital in Jbeil to check on his health after he underwent a surgery to treat a brain hemorrhage yesterday.
Ambassador Abdul-Kareem, who was commissioned to make this visit by President Bashar al-Assad, conveyed the President’s greetings and wishes of quick recovery to Patriarch al-Rai who, in turn, expressed gratitude and appreciation for this kind gesture.
Media Office at the the Maronite Patriarchate in Bkerke earlier stated that Patriarch al-Rai was admitted to an eye and ear hospital in Naccashe due to a trauma, and was then transferred to al-Maounat Hospital in Jbeil, where the patriarch underwent surgery to treat a “benign” brain hemorrhage.
