Moscow, SANA – Russian President’s Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa Affairs, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov discussed with Syria’s Ambassador in Moscow Riyad Haddad issues of continued preparations for Moscow consultative meeting on Syria scheduled late this month.
The meeting is aimed at boosting means to quickly reach a political solution to the crisis in the country.
Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Saturday that both sides discussed also a number of Russian-Syrian cooperation areas in the economic and trade fields.
Yesterday, Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Lavrov affirmed that preparations for Moscow consultative meeting on the crisis in Syria are continuing actively.
