The Syrian Arab Army’s 67th Brigade of the 18th Tank Division – in coordination with the National Defense Forces (NDF) and the Tiger Forces – have captured Al-Dawat near the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur) in the eastern countryside of the Homs Governorate.
With Al-Dawat under their control, the Syrian Armed Forces are now less than 5 kilometers away from Palmyra’s western flank; if the latter can continue this steady advance along the Palmyra-Homs Highway, they will reach the small collection of mountains on the outskirts of the city in a matter of days.
