The Syrian Arab Army’s 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard has recently joined the battle for the imperative town of Harasta after spending the majority of this Islamist rebel offensive inside Jobar and ‘Ayn Tarma in the East Ghouta (collection of farms) of the Rif Dimashq Governorate.
On Monday morning, the Syrian Republican Guard – in coordination with the National Defense Forces (NDF) – attacked the Islamist rebels of Jaysh Al-Islam and the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” at the two hills overlooking Dhahiyat Al-Assad; this powerful assault resulted in the Syrian Armed Forces imposing full-control over these hilltops.
